Save the Bees!
You may have noticed that the yields from your vegetable garden, fruit trees, and berry bushes are not what they once were, and your flowering plants are not flourishing the way the used to do. The reason for this is in large part due to a drastic decrease in our population of bees.
The world’s bees are dying off in staggering numbers for many reasons, including habitat destruction, climate change, poisoning, and disease. This is a potential disaster in the making, as bees are essential to the production of one third of our food and the survival of eighty percent of our flowering plants.
There are ways you can help save the bees and make Nottingham Downs a lush oasis of life and color and a shining example for our neighbors.
